The Storygardenz Association was founded in 1999, with Roman Villa Silj, and around a group of old families and friends who had beautiful residences to rent in Italy. These villas, landscapes and tales have supported my activity as a writer, historian and storyteller. Roman Villa Silj is the prototype storygarden
Membership of the Storygardenz Association costs €uro 50 and gives you the following benefits:
Exploration Guide. Advance copy, by email, of my Exploration Guide to central Italy to help you plan your stay. A hard copy will be waiting for you on your arrival.
Welcome lunch or dinner. (on the day of arrival or on the following day): €uro 19/ person (€uro 9 for children 9 years or under) as follows: Spaghetti pesto calabrese (or similar pasta dish) + Polpettone Romano (mixed meats and herbs meat loaf or similar meat dish) + mixed salad + ice cream or fruit + half bottle of wine / head + coffee. Our usual price for this menu would be €uro 25 / person + wine and in a local restaurant you would pay about € 30 + / person.
Food and Wine. Our "Convivium Romanum" for the times when you want to enjoy good food but don't want to cook. A Convivium meal may be especially desirable on the day of your arrival. We offer competitive prices compared to restaurants in the area. Please click "Food and Wine" on this website.
Rome Walks. Discount 10 % from our colleagues www.romewalks.com customized or in a group.
Minibus for transfers and tours at competitive prices: of surrounding countryside * to sea and lakes * to SPAS * to/from airports * into/from Rome city center * explorations with a theme (eg. Etruscan places *é trips to Florence, Pompeii etc.
A conversation, a cup of coffee, a glass of wine... In these last ten years I have been privileged to share conversations with so many wonderful travelers in this garden. I have spent many hours telling and listening to tales under the veranda or under the palms, and Linden tree. This is just a natural process of the storygarden: to share good, slow time together.
